Torrent & MOV files

Hi, I'm a new user of Limewire and have got very confused.

I'm a big fan of a certain TV program, but everytime I try to open
a Limewire file Quicktime comes up with
" An Update is required to view this file"
The files are .Mov if that helps!

Also I have downloaded a torrent file- this may be a really obvious and stupid question but- How do I open it?!
