Default HELP! Bearshare won't uninstall

I recently installed bearshare on my computer to download music. It was not long before my computer started slowing down and i decided to get rid of it. I went into the control, add or remove progams, and clicked uninstall on bearshare, but it came up with an error box saying "could not open INSTALL.LOG file." If anyone has any idea how i can get this software off my computer it would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Chris

Which version? The original was clean, so you could just delete it.

What's the version number? If it's version 6 then you got a lemon.
If so try reinstalling it on top of itself before uninstalling it again.

If you want to try the real BearShare, the one that deserved it's reputation, go here:

It is 6.1, I tried reinstalling it, that didn't work. Any other thoughts?

Maybe you can just delete the folder. Make sure it's not running, of course.

One thing to try, move the BearShare program folder to recycle bin & empty. Use both of these programs to clean up the system: (1) Crap Cleaner, & also (2) Microsoft Windows Install Clean Up

If you wish to continue using BearShare, I recommend the version Aaron suggested (v.5 beta). It was their best version. The present Bearshare versions have limitations on what you can download with them since now it's a different company that owns it with different programmers & different objectives.
