Qtella (Linux/Unix) Qtella has been discontinued. We highly recommend you use an actively developed client instead.

Cool

Hello!

Why are you using such a minority client?
Switch to LimeWire and you will be happy!

Here you can see that Qtella is sure no MINORITY client for Linux users:

Hello!

Intressting to see that LW and Qtella is identically equal for Linux users not even a 0.1% difference.

I always take the oppurtunity to promote LimeWire because I think it is the best client available.

What I meant was that as a whole for the entire Gnutella network then it is very small compared to some other clients such as LimeWire.

So you think that there is better clients available which ones and why?

Limewire is good but I can´t agree with their Spyware policy...

Other good clients are Gnucleus, Shareaza and Xolox (ALl Windows), if you ask me for Linux I can´t tell you because I use Linux very seldom and hadn´t time to test the Linux clients...

Test them and you will see why they are AT LEAST equal to Limewire. Btw the market share compared to Morpheus is a good joke... and Morpheus is based on the Gnucleus code but it seems that the Morpheus developers are able to make from a good client crap... and the market share shouldn´t be the indicator which client is better because Limewire and bearshare have money to promote their client, free clients like Qtella, Gnucleus. Shareza etc not...

Ah yes within the Windows clients Limewire never made the first place... perhaps the people are running clients like Aqua Lime?

I think everybody should choose the client he likes most!

Hey look Benny ... someone's actually going to respond to YOUR question.

Benny ... download and install the non RPM (e.g. tarball .. tar gz) version from Q-Tella direct. Extract it ... ./configure it ./make it cd /usr/local/bin/ ./qtella ... and its up and running ... good luck.
