I'm behind a firewall I own Hi there! I'd just like to be able to download file, even I am behind a firewall I can configure. I'd only like to know which ports from the public IP should be redirected to my computer. Is it only one port? Or is it a port range? I know it is a general gnutella client question, but I hope someone here could answer. Thanks in advance! |

not enough info you didnt really give us enough to work with but I'm gonna guess that you need to allow port 6346 TCP through your firewall or change the bind port in the config tab to something that is allowed pass the firewall |

I am also behind a firewall I own and am having difficulty establishing connections. I am using IPTABLES on Mandrake 8.2 on my LANs internet sharing gateway and have port 6346 FORWARDed. BTW, LimeWire works fine with this config. I am noticing a *LOT* of dropped packets with a destination-port of something *other* than 6346. Why are the other Gnutella clients not trying to connect on my listen-port? Any ideas? TIA Terry |
