Exclamation Mysterious Crashing

I installed Qtella 0.6.1 on a pc running Mdk 9.0 . It started up and would work correctly. Then a few min(s) after connecting, the app crashed. I did notice that there were three processes still running. This could mean just the front-end crashed. I am curious how qtella uses the id3 libaray and which version of it 0.6.1 needs.

I don't mind pulling the cvs but I want to make sure it's not something stupid.

P.S. I even complied it from the 9.0 src rpm but it didn't help.

Default me too

i'm having about the same problem on my Debian machine, except that it runs fine until i try to download something: any time i try to dowload a file, it might or might not crash the system and i can't find any rhyme or reason to it.

Default same here

I'm having the same problem with qtella 0.6.1 on my Gentoo machine...

i start qtella and get an error from console:
"Qtella::setProperty( "sizeGripEnabled", value ) failed: property invalid, read-only or does not exist"
but everything runs fine. But when I connect it crashes after a moment with no error report.

Default Me too...

I'm having a similar problem in Mandrake 9.2.

Just as a connection is being established the app crashes, reporting a SIGSEGV error. I've been blaming the new ram I installed and even flashed the BIOS just in case it's my system. Still, same problem. I'm in the process of reinstalling qtella as we speak. I'll be watching this thread for any further developments.

I just installed qtella and have the exact same problem as mentioned directly above my post...

This is right out of the box, freshly compiled, latest version on Fedora Core 1.

So far, I'm not impressed

Mine is crashing too -- 0.6.4 freshly compiled... furthermore I can't get it to connect to any servers, though this is probably a different matter that need not be discussed in this thread. It runs for um... ~2 min before crashing. I am rather new to linux so I can't tell you why it's crashing, just that is does, very often.
