Do you spend your time sharing files so other greedy people can get rich? Are you worried that the RIAA/MPAA can pressure commercial P2P companies into giving them your personal information through threats of law suits? It looks like all you have to do is find/change the all the words "GNUTELLA" to "OPENSOURCE" in the file "Servent.cpp" and it should work. If you can run it 24 hrs please post your IP to the thread in the general gnutella section to help kick things off, thank you. OpenSource P2P Net uses the open Gnutella protocol. |
The new modified Gnucleus (1.6.3) and more info for the OpenSource P2P Net is at http://snow.prohosting.com/openp2p/ A diff file is available there so you can see how it was done. You can test Qtella against any IP posted to the "General" area here in the forum. |
New project site at Sourceforge! "Official" home page http://opensourcep2p.sourceforge.net/ Project page is http://sourceforge.net/projects/opensourcep2p/ Thanks for participating in the new OpenSource P2P Net! |
A Linux version is now available called "gtk-frutella". You can get it at the site. We need as many people running this as possible. You could run it off to the side of your Qtella, and have it share the same files. |
