I'm having difficulty getting qtella to work properly on my Mandrake installation. I'm on an Adelphia cable modem behind a home Lynksys router using a local network address (192.168.1.XXX), and I've got ports 6346 and 6347 on the router forwarded to the Mandrake machine. I get only a few very slow downloads, absolutely no uploads, and about 90% of downloads fail completely before the file finishes. Occasionally qtella crashes all together.

I've run a bunch of other P2P sharing programs on a Win2K machine on the same local network with no problems. I'm not sure where to go from here to troubleshoot the Mandrake machine. I'm fairly new to linux

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

It it possible that Qtella takes the wrong IP. You can check this at Configuration->Network->Force IP. This must be an official address and not the 192.168...
With the next release 0.5.1 a new IP detection mechanism is included (automatic) which hopefully will detect the right IP.

Currently Qtella seems to be very unstable on Mandrake distributions (maybe relase 0.5.1 is more stable - it is coming this weekend). I have not tested it on Mandrake yet but I'm going to do this as soon as possible.
