Rants Just say whatever must be said. (XoloX has been discontinued. We highly recommend you use an actively developed client instead.) |

***WARNING*** Don't download "Bagpipes.zip" I was zapped by one of those bullshit fake files that opens up porn searches and websites. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS FILE. Is there any way we can zap this person off of the network or at least ban the file? Very Mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I am totally new to this, how do I find out someone's IP from the search or download list? In reply to the comment above, I was searching for Bagpipe music, I mistakenly thought that maybe the file was so large they zipped it. I was wrong. |

Sorry... I can find no way using Xolox.... I use several clients (Limewire, Shareaza, Bearshare & Xolox).... several of which display the information in the search window... it appears that information is not avaialble in the Xolox client. |

Reprint from another subject: I have found this dialer with many files as: *.zip with 175,900 bytes *.rar with 167,449 bytes Look at any search result, and you will see these files there. This is were business, screws it up for a profit. It would be nice if each user could rate a downloaded file,(and that one time per user rating result, could be averaged) for a overall rating for others to view. (and if to many negitives; the file would eventaualy drop from circulation) I like this service, and I'll live with the one pop-up avert. Just my opinon, DeReK |
