I don't use Shareaza, but it looks like the latest version available from the official site: Shareaza - Download

OldDeath normally brings news of the new versions but has not been around since May. I am aware he is working on a new project which might be keeping him preoccupied.

Is it safe? I seem to remember one of our members making a safe version that wasn't owned/monitored by certain companies....??

There's basically two versions of ShareAza. One version was hijacked and became similar to the BearShare, owned by same people as far as I know, in other words no longer uses the gnutella/G1 network afaik. More about what happened ShareazaV4 And Shareaza.Com Are Fake!. Or another link fakeshareaza.com and eventually found what I was looking for The Story: Shareaza, iMesh, RIAA, and Recent Events.

Then there's the original developers version, which is a continuation of the original and can be trusted. That's the one I linked to in my previous post.

But File_Girl71 produced her own version a few years ago. I'm not sure she ever released it publicly though. I did try it out at the time.

Actually, the latest version is 2.7.0.0, which is currently available from the forums only. So you might want to update to that one.

(We decided to test it first extensively before posting it on the main page as it repeatedly happened that severe bugs appeared just after we had bumped a new version...)
