![]() I have not been able to start Shareaza for the last few days with a new error. {Something like} Shareaza has been asked to close because of an unusual C++ runtime error, contact administrator if problem persists. I an running 1.41 on a Sony Viao 1.5gig and WinXP. I did notice before this happened I had some d/l's that Failed verification and on reboot seemed to disapear. Tried reinstall and system restore...NO LUCK. Any help would be appreciated. TIA ![]() |

![]() Sorry to hear you've had problems there. This problem usually points to one or more corrupted .dat files in the Shareaza folder, and possibly the Shareaza.dat file in your incomplete downloads folder. Deleting these files is relatively safe, and should fix the problem. You could delete them one by one to see when the problem is fixed. The .dat files will be recreated when you next start Shareaza. |

![]() Yep, it was the security.dat file. It showed 0 bytes in size. BTW I stated getting a virus warning for a virus named js_noclose.a at the same time. A complete scan showed only 1 file infected and it is quarenteened, so hopefully I won't have a repeat. |
