Ok since I am a total newbie to the Gnutella network. Please tell me why I want to submit all my files to Bitzi? I dl'd the Bit Collider and have submitted about 100 files but seems like no big deal. Or am I missing the point of the greatest invention since sliced bread?

Bitzi is a wonderful idea, and the more who download Bitcollider and use it to add to the the Bitzi database, the better for all of us!

Bitzi helps the Gnutella network by logging all files on the Network into one central database. Ideally, all files ever uploaded/downloaded or stored in a library would be on Bitzi. However, Bitzi is very young at the moment and has not established a good method for doing this.

It is coming to Shareaza soon, I'm sure. Keep a look out.

"Bitcolliding" yourself will/should become a thing of the past.

You have done good by contributing, you are widening the database, and allowing people to find accurate copies of files they want.

Bitzi helps you to know if a file is a fake or is the real one. Users send their comments on files (what you are doing with the Collider), and later you can see them ("View Bitzi ticket") and verify based on the comments if this is the file you want. However since Bitzi is very new into Gnutella, not many files have been submitted...
