I hate to bump an old thread but this turned up on google as one of the first results for "shareaza security" so I thought I should post a reply here.

First of all shareaza*com is no longer owned by the shareaza dev team. The real shareaza forums can be found at Shareaza.sourceforge.net/forums/

Secondly, the X-ray filter is long dead. The most popular shareaza filter list is now the AIOASF ( originally based on the xray filter) with an estimated 19,000 downloads for the last release alone. It can be downloaded from Shareaza - View topic - All-In-One AntiSpam Filter [Sep-18-2010]

But you seemed to choose an old thread without checking for the up-to-date threads & notifications in the ShareAza forum section of this forum. :)
This forum has lots of old threads often dating back to the actual beginning of the particular gnutella client. Many gnutella client programs began here on this forum before considering starting their own independent forum (only some created their own forum.) Regardless, we still continue to give help for all gnutella client programs & retain a history of issues regarding them.

yes, through google, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who will.....which is why I posted in this thread :)

And if you read the forum rules, you would see to read the Stickies first. :D Of course you read the forum rules right, they stare you in the face during forum sign up & before making your first post. lol ;) They are there for a very valid reason.
