Default Remove-Section Request

Programs can make users feel overwhelmed. Azureus is a great program but it's options make me feel overwhelmed. Limewire is a great G1 program that doesn't make me feel overwhelmed but it doesn't connect to G2 and ED2K.

The Settings/Advanced section is the only thing I'm requesting to be removed.

I agree. Some users are majorly screwing their servent this way and that's the other network users who have the consequences. Bad thing, just think of idiots making over 20 queue slots with active queueing system

Ciao

I like the "advanced section"!

But an idea would be to make a warning-popup (one that looks a little scary, so new users don't mess around with it ) and a button to set it back to default settings.

therefore we have normal and power mode, advanced settings are hidden in normal mode.
you can't make a p2p-software idiot proof without losing functionality, so you have to decide... the advanced settings are way too important to just remove them.

the queue settings are a different problem as they are on a different page, but i agree with et voilà, users very often put high q numbers (i've seen up to 500) for http queues without knowing about the effects...we can simply prevent them from doing this by setting up a limit for those values (if there's not already one)
