Shareaza 2.5.2.0 released

Well, it has been released some time already, but in case somebody didn't notice until now...

Shareaza 2.5.2.0 is a maintenance release and no longer requires SSE in the standard version. In addition to the standard release, a build with Streaming SIMD Extensions 2 (SSE2) optimizations has been added. The optimized build requires at least an Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 64 processor.

It can be downloaded on the Official Download page. Debug Builds are available over here has usual.


It may also be interesting for some that there has been started work on a Shareaza rewriting project called "Quazaa", using the Qt framework, which will be cross platform, have modular network support (so you can write network plugins) and be the source of a networking library for every supported network.


A last thing I'd like to remember in this post is that for both - Shareaza and Quazaa - there exists a facebook group which posts announcements about the release of new versions, so if you'd like to stay up to date, you can just join one or both of these groups...
