bimb1237,

I am not familiar with the virus that causes Limewire to download unwanted files but if your son closed Limewire with downloads in process they will resume when you start Limewire again. Is it possible Limewire is completing files left in the Cue?

Thank you for the ideas ... I can't blame my son for this, I am the only one who uses this computer. Some of the items were things like this:
WinAmp5Pro Keygen Crack Update
Windows Source Code
Windown Longhorn Beta Leak
XXX Hardcore Images

I did delete these items ..and the next day they came back ... I must have a virus. I do wish someone directly from LimeWire could address this ... I was only using the trial service ... I truly enjoyed what i saw so far, however I am now glad I did not spend money for this ... as I was going to.

bimb1237,

When you say you deleted the files where did you delete them from? If you deleted them from your download directory you may still have incomplete downloads being completed everytime you open Limewire.

The files you describe would be qued by someone with above average computer knowledge. Someone interested in computers, music and - obviously porn. I can't believe a virus would be this selective.

Limewire really has no control over what files you download much like Ford has no control over where you buy gas for their car.

If anyone has used your computer and started to download a file it could still be in the download que.

Try this - At the top of the Limewire screen select "Library", then "incomplete", then see if some files show up. If they do these are the files in your download cue. Everytime you start Limewire it tries to complete these files. To get rid of them highlight the top file in the list, hold down the "shift" key, select the last file. They should all be highlighted. Now at the bottom of the screen select "delete". Confirm that you want to delete them and they will no longer be in the download que.

Thanks again for your help, it appears I did have a virus, 288 instances of this particular virus, the WORM.BAGLE.AH
My son came home and researched it for me and found that this virus has the same symptons as what I experienced, such as strange files appearing in the shared folder, such as the shared folder for LimeWire. There are numerous strains of this virus, but more information can be found at http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/viru...GLE.AH&VSect=T

All the files on the list...are what was on my computer!
