![]() Hi, I'm one day brand new to this forum and limwire. No problems with music transfers, but I have no idea how to transfer video/movie to CD. Hope this question is ok. If not, please let me know. Thanks. Professor |

![]() Well it has been answered many, many time before. Did you use the search button before posting. And why did you post in the Bearshare program section (before I moved your thread)? Bearshare is a totally different program. LW sections are marked by a Lime in the corner of the page not a bear. lol ![]() Recommended is Nero or Roxio easy cd/dvd creator. Select video format. VCD output. Then drag & drop your video file in & press burn/write. Your video file can be found here usually: C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Shared Or for quick & easy access: Go to your LW Library window, select Saved Files folder & press the Explore button. Sample image here: Using Library Explore button to access downld folder (click on link) & move it where ever. For VCD's it's recommended you burn them at minimum speed. If you burn them at high speeds then your dvd player might not play them. Don't forget you need a blank CD-R. Or if you have a RW burner & your dvd player supports it, burn a CD-RW disk to see if it works ok. Last edited by Lord of the Rings; March 1st, 2006 at 07:11 AM. |

![]() Hi Again, First, thanks so much. Although I've not yet been successful, you were quick and seemingly accurate in your advice. This is the first time I've worked with video burning. I have Nero, but there are so many facets of this that I'm not aware of. I even have trouble finding the file once it's downloaded from LW. You said to "select video format" - I'm not sure which to select. Then "VCD output", ok what in Bill Clinton's name is that! If you'd like to keep helping me I'd really appreciate it. I'm not sure this is a proper route for this forum but, maybe we need a phone conversation and you could guide me??? Anyway, thanks so much! |

![]() 2. Use the file browser to find your files. As stated, by default the files are saved here: C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Shared If you're not sure, go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Saving & this will show you the location(s). However in my example here, drive G is used. 3. Locate the video file & drag & drop it over to the burn list window on the left. 4. Press the burn button. Nero will now convert the video as required & burn the disk. (Make sure there's a blank CD-R in the burner.) For VCD's I'd highly recommend burning at minimum speed for maximum compatibility with dvd players. (You could also trial it out on a CD-RW.) (I decided to re-edit the animation so it runs a little slower!) Last edited by Lord of the Rings; March 1st, 2006 at 07:10 AM. |

![]() Wow, just what I needed - "burning for dummies" thanks so much. Now the burning process seems to be working right, but I can't get the movies to show up or play on the disc. Maybe wrong format, or????? I've tried "R" and "RW" discs both of which my system supports. Not sure what the deal is now??? Any help is appreciated! Hope I can return the favors sometime. Ken |

![]() What output format did you choose? VCD/SVCD/DVD? And where are you trying to play them ... have you tried your computer? Are you sure your set-top player supports vcd/svcd? What brand & model is it? As I suggested earlier, if you're going to burn VCD's, burn them at minimum speed. May I suggest, get VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) & install it. Then open your VCD/DVD using VLC. I think you need to use control-D or Open Disk from File menu & choose which format your disk is in - be that dvd or vcd. Make sure you insert the disk before you open VCD. What settings did you use to burn with? How did you set it up?
