The preferences of the new version of LW (4.10.x +) may be found in another location. Use your search function, go to options & change view mode to show "hidden" files & folders. Then search for limewire
It's found here: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\LimeWire
The Application Data folder is "hidden".
You can see an example of how to find & delete it from a FrostWire example here: How to delete your FrostWire Preferences folder
But of course, it's the limewire folder you search & delete. Check that the one you select is from the above location (ie: within the Application Data folder!!!) And of course only do it whilst LW is "closed"!

I will soon be adding some examples & details about this in the link Only A Hobo left.

Hey lord I think your .dll file fix might work on this one I see the error they received mentioned the ntdll.dll. Unfortunately I can not find the link at the moment.

Default yea..

Same problem, limewire worked fine before. Then my 9.whatever.. the new one stopped working. So I went to limewire.com and got the 10.0 version. That one also won't open. I've tried what you said.. but no results. Hope it gets fixed soon..

Yep my windows had an issue of missing or out of date dll so that link replaced it.

FYI the page here has been updated with how to find the new LW 4.10+ preferences folder: Fixes for Limewire
I'd been a little slow getting around to it ... well New Year's eve & the recovery period ... lol
(A full week's recovery required! )

Steps 1-3 in that link 'should' fix it. If Java 1.5 doesn't do the trick, uninstall it & install Java 1.4.2 instead. Also consider reinstalling LW. But use the "Offline" installer.

That's because you've had previous versions of LW. If you should delete this preference folder (.limewire), then your future prefs will be found at the new location under the name of limewire as in Application Data/limewire. Keep in mind the Application Data folder is a hidden folder.
