Gnutella worm (?) http://msn.zdnet.com/msn/zdnet/story...5hm3%2C00.html "The proof-of-concept worm hasn't spread very far and is limited because it can be identified by its size: 8,192 bytes." At the above link from msn.com and several other places I've been reading about a worm that adopts the name of files requested by Gnutella users and then appears in the users' download area. I checked and this has happened to me. I deleted the files. Don't know what else to do. Any thoughts or suggestions? Please email reply to wfm28@columbia.edu. THANKS. |
I created a SimpleTest Doc with one page of data, saved it to my shared files and it show its 8,192 bytes is size. Is someting bogus going down here? Is it reallys a worm of just Simple Text Files on the net? |
