Exclamation Allow PNG avatars!
This is rediculous! I can't upload an avatar because the vBB defaults won't let me use PNG files. Not only does my avatar have an alpha-channel, I refuse to use a lossy format, and I refuse to use a terrible, patented format like GIF. Could an admin please fix this? I'm sure it was just an oversight.

How come I think its you who's ridiculous?
Why making such a noise about it?
Just convert to GIF, you are not printing your avatar for a
magazine so forget the quality lost (which is minimal).

You could've asked to allow PSD as well

GIF doesn't support alpha channels, and they're PATENTED, and they're LARGER than PNG.

If you went there you'd note that it has nothing to do with Vogons except for the blatant and obvious references to H2G2.
