Which gnutella client is the best? What works the fastest?

Which Client works well and is not Adware/Spyware.
I like gnotella but somtimes it needs to be "halted" and relaunched. no adware.
Bearshare is good consumer grade software. Its to bad it can't mind its own business.

That depends on what you're looking for. Every Gnutella client has its own features, advantages and disadvantages.

I just downloaded the gnutella software, Bearshare actually, and then I tried to connect by pressing the big green connect button. I just got the list of all the different gnutella software versions again. I thought the software installed itself after you download it. I'm using windows 98. None of the advice pages tell one how to install the software after downloading it. I have e-mailed the tech support people. Any advice would be most appreciated.

Do you mean the "Connect" button at www.gnutella.com ? To install bearshare you just have to double-click on the installer and then run it. As simple as that. You won't get any mp3s from that site.
