Members assigned titles

Just curious to the new forum members assigned titles. I was going through the members list and I noticed that new members are Junior members until 30 post. They then become Members until 99 post they are then Senior Members until somewhere around 900? from there they appear to be Registered users. What is the significance of this new title if any
