Question Xolox remains in memory

I am running Windows XP and I Just wanted to know what Xolox is doing as a running process (you check this pressing CtrlAltDel and clicking the processes tab) using up 8 Mb of memory after I have closed it and exited from it's little icon in the task bar.

I am using version 1.32 of Xolox

Did Xolox crash or something, even earlier in the day. If so Xolox may not have been properly removed from memory. Even if the most recent instance did, it would only add and remove an extra Xolox. I have noticed that it seems to take Xolox a little time to get out of memory (no idea why), but if you have closed Xolox and it is not out of memory then you can always manually free that space.

No, it behaves like that consistently, even if it does not crash and is closed properly.

I will check to see if it remains there forever or just for a while...

Checked and after exiting Xolox correctly, it remains in memory in the processes list until the XP machine is stopped.

Have not experienced this at all. Are you running some other program that is not allowing it to close properly? Like norton or some memory boost program?

But , either way this info will be passed on. I am curious if it has anything to do with a known bug that occurs when closing - although have never seen this allow xolox to stay in memory.

thanks
