Has anyone else had the problem of no downloads being picked up. All my files just say SEARCHING. Never had any problems before installing 1.5

Question

Same problem here. By the way, a lot of forums here are about as useful as a cup of cold gravy. I'm sure there are plenty of smart folks out there, including the developers at Xolox, but they sure don't spend any time answering legitimate questions. I think I'm going to just uninstall Xolox and spread the word that it's a piece of caca. It crashes my development machine .. this bug has been reported numerous times without any response that's particularly useful. Shutting down Xolox requires a hard reboot to get my machine back due to the Fatal Exception report error message.

All in all, a pretty pathetic performance if it's going to survive very long.

Default still no search results...

hm. Seems like this issue has been brought up by a few people. I've uninstalled (and deleted the registry key) & re-installed and verified that I'm connecting to plenty of hosts (I think). For a week or two I had variable success with searches - some times I would connect and get good results but most of the time small or totally unproductive searches... over the past week I've gotten no search results at all... and I've left the search open for a very long time.

Not ready to scrap Xolox quite yet, still trying to appeal to the resident tech gods for help... anybody have a clue about this?

(repeat from other thread)
this is a very RECENT problem. XoloX was working great before the weekend.

But now, whenever xolox connects to a certain unnamed client they are _NOT_ responding to any queries. Hence making XoloX useless. And because this client makes up a great majority of the hubs... it's a serious issue.

all we can hope for is they fix this on their end ASAP before taking other measures.

Hey you Xolox users, it doesn't find files because Limewire is blocking requeries of all client. They did this in part because XOLOX is a GREEDY client. They requiery a lot, see the GDF for more informations. Also they never give uploads to other clients. SO avoid this client and choose another one, anyone will be better.

Ciao

Smile Yeah!

I'm getting flooded with search results... hope everyone else is having better luck too and this isn't a fluke! Thanks for enlightening us, Kaya...
