.wmv video files In Xolox 1.18 beta 2 build 50 When you set a search type of "Video" you do not seem to get results for Windows Media Video files that end in .wmv Generally the .AVI extension is more popular that .wmv but Microsoft would rather us name the files with .wmv if it has been created with the Windows Media 8 Encoder. As the encoder continues to grow it will eventually replace .AVI (or so Microsoft thinks). The reason is that MS would rather use .wma (for audio) and .wmv (for video) because they think that makes more sense. At any rate it should be an easy fix. |
Even if it does Xolox may show wmv, but it is a very unpopular format still. If it doesnt, here's an alternative: Search for all files. Say you wanted Die Hard in WMV in the search box, you would type: Die Hard .wmv |
