Red face Cleared (lost?) all my files

Using 1.18b3 and have a new wrinkle that I'm not sure what is going on.

I left my machine on all night last night, and woke up this morning to find a couple different error messages on my screen. One was a note from Norton SystemWorks saying that I was out of disk space on the hdd I use for xolox. The other message was from xolox, but after reading through so many messages on here, I'm not sure which message it was most like, but I think it was the "filestream error" or something like it.

Anyway, the result is that after confirming/clearing all the error messages it sent the bug report to xolox and restarted, but now all of my partial downloads are gone, both from within the transfers section of xolox, and from out of the temp file.

Also of note might is that I had nearly a gig (990MB) of free space on the drive immediately after checking the "out of space" error. Anybody have any suggestions?

you need double the size of a file in hd space because it copies it assembling the pieces. Possible a big file was downloading and caused you to run out of space? Filestream errors occur when for some reason xolox cant write to the drive

Default Okay, that's half of it

I'sort of already had that figured as the problem after reading a few various posts here. ll grant you that half of it, but the real concern I had was the way it shut down - I figure it had to be a *MAJOR* sort of failure the way it creamed all my old files / partial downloads.

I'm wondering if it was trying to fix the problem itself and removing partial D/L's to free up space. The problem is it dumped them all.

When/If it ran out of space all the files could have been corrupted.. Try running scandisk
