Unhappy XoloX Crashes

Hey. I've just downloaded XoloX 1.18 Beta 3 and it crashes on startup.
It brings the title bar up and the main window, but the main window is blank and it is uncloseable. Ctrl-Alt-Delete just crashes the computer.
My comp. spec is: AMD Athlon XP 1.5ghz, 256mg ram, 60gb HD (20gb in use), and a Nvidia Geforce 2MX with latest drivers.

Just a bug?

sorry, could you make sure you do use the latest Nvidia Geforce 2MX drivers, which version? No, kidding. Which OS?

I'm having the same problem here. I downloaded 1.8 and installed it last night, and it ran fine. Now when I launch it it crashes about half-way through. My OS is XP.

Try this:

With XoloX closed to go Start > Run > Type in 'regedit' and press enter.

navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > XoloX.

Once at that the key , you will see many values inside the xolox folder. Click on the one labeled 'totd' and set the value to 0 ( Zero) .

Now start xolox up. Note that in the next build the startup hanging issue has been sorted.

I did that and it still hung....

I guess I wasn't clear, when I went into the registry, that Key was already set to "0"

Any other suggestions????

This is a P4 1.8 running Win ME, 256mb RAM, & GeForce 3 running the latest video drivers.

Please help me get XoloX up and running cause it rocks!!!

My OS is 98 and im experiencing the same problem as the others...i d/l'ed xolox and was usuing it for a few days when suddenly i've not been able to use it since. the title bar opens and it looks like the page is going to load but it doesn't and i have to ctrl-alt-del myself out. so far i was liking xolox and i really dont want to delete it and d/l a different client so please lemme know how to get it running again. i checked the registry editor and found my setting for that key was also set at '0' already.

p.s. i can't access the faq or user guide from this site, has there been some problems w/ the page or is it just me?

thanks very much!
