![]() I have downloaded the new 1.20 version. I have had the problems dowloading on 1.19 so I thought I would give this a try. But every time I go to look at my transfers it pulls up a message about a socket error. Here is what it says: Exception EAccessViolation in "SocketDataAvailable" Bytes read:4380 Total bytes read:4492 Exception message:Access violation at address 0041DFF7 in module 'xolox.exe'. Read of address 00000000 Connection type:11 Connection buffer length:0 Connection buffer offset:0 Then it goes on with about a thousand different numbers (if you want those...I can post them). I am running a HP 1.6ghz Windows XP, 128 Ram, 30 Hard Drive. I sometimes would get this message in version 1.19, but at least in 1.20 it seems like it is trying to download the files. But of course, everytime I get that message it shuts down....which is virtually every time. I have read FAQ and it told me that if I was an XP user then I should either disable my firewall (or configure it properly). How do I make sure it is configured properly? If anyone could help me with that I would appreciate it. Thanks |

![]() Join chat , would be much easier to help you live then on a forum. If you are using wME, then chances are you will keep getting that error. If you are using a firewall blocking access , you will keep getting that error. Below is the FAQ Q&A you refer to: Q. I am having trouble using XoloX through my firewall or router? A. Try setting setting your local IP and port XoloX should use in Tools > Preferences > Network Tab - Advanced button. Then allow permission and/or forwarding through that port. A2. If using wXP try disabling the wXP internal firewall(or configure it properly). A3. If using Zone Alarm please also note that a setting of 'Medium' level security for trust zone works well in tests even along with a router; but connecting to the network takes an average 5 times longer to find servants you can connect in relation to having no firewall at all |

![]() KayaMan: I went into chat earlier and you weren't around, but I went ahead and disabled my firewall to see if that would help. It did not. It still would not stop sending the message I posted earlier (as unregistered). Do you have any other ideas as to what I can do? Thanks for all your help. mkeefer |
