Glad I'm Not Alone .. I wrote the original thread here, and .. yes .. mine still crashes more or less as soon as I start to download .. will crash and re-boot .. then give a 'recovered fron serious error' message .. have now stopped using xolos as not sure if the program is damaging my machine .. as with you, all previously queued items were lost ... there is a bug here, hope someone will sort it .. dee_en@hotmail.com |

Spontanious Rebooting Also My system has the spontanoius reboot troubles too. I am running broadband, on an AMD processor, 256 MB Ram, on Windows 2000 PRofessional, and I also had this problem when i ran Windows 2000 Server. I would be about to do a new search, or change Xolox screens and POOF! It reboots. It seems to go by too fast to get the error message, but Xolox is the common denominator for sure. What happened to the old Xolox i knew and loved. Version 1 or some such thing. No Adware and it never crashed. It also seemed to get a hell of a lot better search results. Then Xolox shut down for a while. Oh well. It still beats those virus progs desguised as Kasaa and such. Even good old Limewire sold out. Have a nice day. |

Turn off the spontaneously reboot option. It's under My Computer, Properties, Advanced (tab), Startup and Recovery, and uncheck the box that says Automatically restart. I always get the 0x000000D1 error. I upgraded my VIA chipset drivers, and it works FINE now! It's not a problem with Xolox, it's my friggin chipset. http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=2 |

XP Pro 2600.. No problems.. Running on a cable connection on a LAN via linksys router between my computers. USB modems have been known to have issues for some time now. If possible, always use ethernet. My ISP wont allow people to hook up a modem via usb. |
