I get NOTHING!!!!!
 

In the Preferences / Tools / Network / Advanced window, what is the purpose of the "Force local IP" and "Force local port"?

What are these ports? My windows are empty. Should I put data there?

I have been trying for 2 weeks, but can't download a damn thing.
The search brings up files, but nothing happens, yet my modem lights are going crazy.


Also, my cursor disappears when I change box sizes, and the "GO" button is not visible?

Can someone explain?

The cursor thing is a glitch and was not in version 1.18 - future versions will fix that ( nothing major).
If you can't download *anything* you may be using version 1.19 which had a download bug. make sure you are using the latest version 1.20

If you dont know what those boxes are for, most likely you should leave them alone.

Those are for users on a lan(local area network) who's computers only see their local IP.

Example: My comp is 192.168.1.100 on the network of my 3 comps.
It is 68.3.93.xxx to the rest of the world.
