Unhappy error messages after update

I updated xolox today, and it has been 'throwing' different error message ever since. I have saved 3 of them:

1)Version: '1.21 build 241'
Error message: 'HMODULE: 4194304 Unhandled exception EOutOfResources Exception message:Invalid window handle. Call stack: '
2)Version: '1.21 build 241'
Error message: 'HMODULE: 4194304 Unhandled exception EAccessViolation Exception message:Access violation at address 004EB6BC in module ''xolox.exe''. Read of address 02ECDA48 Call stack: [004EB6BC] [0040454D] [0050C351] [004428F2] [004263DA] [0051AFCD]'
3)Version: '1.21 build 241'
Error message: 'HMODULE: 4194304 Unhandled exception EInvalidOperation Exception message:Canvas does not allow drawing Call stack: '

I rarely got them before I updated. I have winxp home. I have zone alarm - set to medium. It didn't affect the version of xolox before this one. My time on my computer is correct also.

I have not uninstalled it yet and re-installed it. I hate to lose all of my partial downloads - some are up to 90%, and I am assuming that an uninstall will delete these downloads. (is this correct?)
I regret updating - and am also wondering what would happen if I ran the older version over this newer one that I updated to??

You can keep your partial downloads by backing up the 'resumeinfo.txt' file in the Xolox directory. Personally I would backup the partial downloads (.xlx files mentioned in the 'resumeinfo.txt' file) just in case. If you just replace all those files after reinstalling you should not loose your partial downloads.

Thank you ! I backed them up. Then what I tried first, was to re-install version 1.20 over top of 1.21. It seems to have installed over version 1.21 - and so far (crossing fingers and holding my breath), it's working fine. so - I think I'll just stay with this older version until the bugs are worked out of 1.21.

For some reason the older verson worked better for some people. For others the new version works better.

I'm not sure if it is Xolox that is the cause of ther error message. I have WinXP and it is a tempermental operating system. Many programs do not like to function properly with it. I too have been getting the error messages with 1.21 but I have gotten error messages with several programs with XP. I think that the fix for other OS caused a problem for XP users. If you go into the properties tab for Xolox and click on the combatiblity tab. Then set Xolox to run with Win2k or WinME compatability to see if that corrects it.

Question properties tab

I updated my zone alarm, and contined to use the older version of xolox. After some time, the older version of xolox stopped conecting to the network. It would just say at the bottom that it was trying to connect. I disabled zone alarm, re-booted my cable modem, rebooted my system - so I put the newer version back on. It connects - for a few seconds ! then it performs those same errors.
I know I saw the properites tab at some point, and the area you are referring to to set it for winXP - but for the life of me, I can't find it now! I have a preference tab - but nothing in there.
Where do I find it?
Thx!
