maybe I'm the "Filesharing Retard", Question...
 

I have upgraded to 1.21 but I cannot find any way to preview a file. If I right click on a file in the transfers area I just have the option to pause or cancel the download. How do I Preview?

I also want to know how do I find out where or who a file came from and then block that person from showing up again? I got one of those porn files and want to block that person.

Some files cannot be previewed immediatly, or while being downloaded. You cant block in Xolox.

Ok, I understand that, but how do you do it on any that can be previewed??? I don't see any "Preview" button or right click option???

have you upgraded to the most recent versoin of V1.21? The first one (available for only a short time) did not have previewing.

I belive that I have the most recent version. Is there a button you click to Preview? That way, If I don't have it, I'll know I don't have the most recent version.

The only way to preview directly from Xolox is to right click on the file that is downloading. However, even if you can't previw the file because of what segments have not been downloaded yet the option should still be there, but grayed out.

The only thing that preview will probably work on is mpeg based files. If your version of xolox doesnt contain the previewing option please look at the page that xolox loads on startup - It has a link to download the newest version.

I wonder why?

The developers could copy the file and play from the copy, this don´t stop the download... perhaps anything for the new feature list...

Make sure you are using build241 ( check in Help > About).

You will need to download usually a good 10% of the file ( depends how many sources you are getting the file from ) before it can preview *if* the file type is even supported to be previewed.

Morgwen that *IS* what it does. It makes a copy of the segment that way it doesn't intefere with any file sharing violations in creating the complete file and avoids some other issues.

It also deletes all preview segments at every startup.

I am using build 237, which is why I cannot do the preview option on any file. Now if I download the new build, I will loose all files that are being downloaded, correct? The last time I upgraded, when I started the new one, my "Transfer" area was total cleared out. Is there a way to save my list of files in the "Transfer" process? If not, they really need to add that to a future build, I mean who wants to loose all those downloads in process, some take weeks to get because of low scores.
