Never connects!
 

Ive used xolox for about 2 weeks and its worked pretty well. recently though, it hasnt connected and constantly has 'connecting to the gnutella network' in the bottom left hand corner and no downloads are coming through. i dont know anything about proxys or firewalls etc so does anyone have advice for the terminally ignorant on ow to sort it?! :confused:

do you have search results? did the downloads work "in the beginning"? do you have a firewall.... etc..

Hey, um, as i say im terminally ignorant and pretty computer illiterate (although switching it on in my fam is an accomplishment!) so hence the lack of info as i dont know what is/ isnt relevant! sorry!
ok...searches worked fine, as did downloads, sometimes took a while to find specific files but my computer tends to be pretty slow anyway (have used audiogalxy before)
got 39 complete downloads in total and have some in a temp file that are partly done. but the gnutella network won't connect and searches come up with nothing - just says pending.
as for firewall - im very sorry but i have no clue! although i did wonder if it had anything to do with installing kazaa as well. this was fine primarily but i THINK (not 2 sure) that xolox went pear shaped when kazaa started up automatically rather than me searching for it.
be grateful for any ideas! thank you! just take pity! :o
