connect, can't do that

I'm on university network and believe I need to put in the IP info to connect to xolox. I have found the IP address, but can't find the PORT #. Help someone please???:confused:

The default Gnutella port number is 6346. However, you can use other ports, especially it the most common Gnutella ports have been blocked on you network.

gnutella hosts?

thanks for the help.
that port number gave me 6 servers but I'm only connecting to 1 maybe 2.
does anyone know where I can find gnutella hosts addresses

Xolox can look up hosts itself. The port number you use does not really matter as far as who you can see on the network. It does take time to connect at first, as Xolox finds hosts to connect to.
