Support: General General support discussions and announcements. XoloX has been discontinued. We highly recommend you use an actively developed client instead. |

![]() Considering that most questions here are asked by people who don't have a clue it is usually best to try the simplest things first. Xolox should work through a proxy provided you have set it properly. Make sure that the settings match the proxy. If the proxy is yours you might want to try using a different configuration in case it is some abnomalitiy with the way you have it set up. Also, you may want to make sure that there is no firewall on the proxy (proxy is not yours). If so you will need to open port 6346. |

![]() It could very well be the proxy you are using limits to to standard http ports. Try using a few other proxies? ( make sure you're using socks4 or 5 proxies btw for the gnutella connections , *not* a web proxy - a web proxy will not work for the gnutella connection ) |

![]() Xolox uses port 6346, the standard Gnutella port. Like Kaya said make sure that the proxy allowes you to use this port. Otherwise you could try changing the port number Xolox uses, (advanced networking options) but using prot 80 may cause problems with other programs. |
