![]() Hi, In order for people to download from my PC, do I have to keep Xolox running, or is it sufficient to just be connected to the internet with the shared directory available ? If I keep Xolox running, does it keep downloading adverts and take up 'download' bandwidth. Cheers - new user. |

![]() Your computer will only upload files on Gnutella while accepting requests. Unless you are running other Gnutella servents at the time you computer should not be using any bandwidth for the Gnutella network. (Not connected = not using bandwidth) However, when connected (Xolox is open) your computer will be using bandwidth simply to provide rudementrary Gnutella functions regardless of whether you are using Xolox or not. |
