Default Try This

NOw I don't know if this was just by chance but I tried it ouple of times and it works all the time. When the "Can't connect to network comes up just clik on the search space and enter what ever you are searching for and hit go ...it automatically starts working finew and the status says Network ok. I guess its some kind of a bug for first time usres.

Although I have to say it is a nice and small application but you can get a lot more speed through Morpheus.

But then again thats just my opinion

Cool Now I know the answer!!!Read it

To make your "can't connect to network" message dissapear
do this:
Download fresh hostslist to your xolox directory and run xolox.exe, than go to preferenses and type a new gnutella host:
gnotella.fileflash.com port 6346

after that WAIT until connection will be OK, it may take a few minutes but it really works!!!

I hope it'll help!!!

Talking xolox ALWAYS works

Hi all!

I often get "can't conect" thing. And after clicking "Ignore" xolox works as usual. Maybe there is performance loss, which I did not notice because of my 33,6 modem.

Also, due to personal dumbness, I've replaced hostlist with human readable IP list (i forgot to look inside before, so probably xolox couldn't read it. But it worked anyway! I've replaced it back and noticed only some growth of search speed, downolad speed is not affected (it's always veeeeeeery slow.

So I don't undestand what is this topic about. Xolox is simpliest and most stable windows program i've ever seen. I dream it, running as a daemon on my unixbox (which has much better connection).

synchronously

Default why are the IPs encrypted in the hostlist?

Everyone on the P2P network needs a good hostlist. Why in the world wouldn't the hostlist be human readable?

I thought P2P was about sharing.. Maintaining your list in some cryptic fashion is stupid to say the least..
