Cool Hidden Goodies...

Well - I agree, it might sound silly for a newly subscribed user...

...but how do I remove XoloX completely from my system?

Apparently it is not sufficient to uninstall or to delete the complete XoloX-folder, because after doing so and re-installing the prog, it still remembers the path of my temp and download folder, as well as the exact information about the files I used to share before uninstalling.

There have to be some hidden entries somewhere but I can't find them - all information in the registry did not help me.

I have used XoloX for some days now and all seemed OK, but I am missing a bit more control about several things. Why can't I reconfigure the whole stuff XoloX used to ask me when I installed it for the first time?

I'd be glad if someone could help me. I do not like the feeling of having a proggie in charge of filesharing digging itself down into the depths of my Machine...

So... enough words - who can help me?

Performing the uninstall may not remove the xolox directory from \program files\xolox (or wherever you installed it) as xoloX creates some file not included in the install and the /temp and /downloads directories will probably have files in them. move any files you want to keep, and delete the \xolox directory and it's gone, with the exception of the registry.

The only entry in the registry to remove is: HKey_Current_User\Software\xolox (If you want to re-configure your settings from scratch, you can close XoloX and remove this then restart. No re-install required.)

No files are installed in any other folders, and unless you moved your xolox entry around in your start->programs menu, it should be removed correctly.
