non-performance nothing downloads. every so ofter it says 'filestream error -->1' at the bottom of the page. i'm running xolox 1.12 on w98 [cable] and it was working fine for a couple months before this. i download video, mostly, not music. uploads don't seem to be having any problem. i get download status 'active', but never any speed or progress. i would appreciate any assistance you could render. TIA 8) PS: i just turned it off and windows told me about 'illegal pointer operation' 8/ PPS: furthermore, it isn't my system [450 Meg, 10 Gig, 128 K] wherein the problem lies [on which i am now downloading the same stuff thru morpheus that xolox refuses to deal with]. this has been going on for some time. yesterday i uninstalled and reinstalled xolox but no difference was evident, which leads me to conclude that it may be this new 1.12 version, but that's kinda iffy. whatever the case, someone please render some assistance! 8< 231001,0630[gmt-6]apparently no one else can figger this either 8/ i guess i'll wait about a week, then come back and see if version 1.13 is out yet.
i thank you folks for your consideration 8> this forum is really a nice accessory. later! everclear 8D hiho, hiho, to morpheus i go! 80 251001,0451[gmt-6] new problems: grokster and morpheus now won't get past 'connecting...';winmx, however, still works 8/ and i'm antivirused [mcafee virus-scan with current update], i'm defragged, i'm wiped [mcp wipe-pro+], i'm window-washered and everything else on my computer is working fine, my only problems are with p2p. i haven't tried limewire or gnucleus yet. i'll try them now; hold on... 0512[gmt-6] yeah, limewire and gnucleus both work so, for me, it's beyond figgering 8< anybody else have any ideas? TIA 8D... 1405[gmt-6] well, morpheus and everclear are back, but xolox is still not operating. this sporadic performance has led me to yet another explanatory concept: my isp is '@home.com' which at&t has just sold to... er,uh... well, they sold it and my new theory is that this less-than-adequate functioning is because of the new isp and not xolox, et al., so if there seem to be an inexplicable amount of function deficiencies in formerly at&t turf, that could be why. that's my latest theory... i'll keep you posted on further developments 8>
