Also try reading this thread, I think that it is very similar to your problems.

Thanx Iamnacho... the suggested solutions in above thread didn't work for me (but haven't tried the search screen one yet)... but seems there are some 'solutions' then. Useful threads as lots of peeps get this error.

OK.. the search screen fix didn't fix the error either - stick with 'closing' the prog down to the taskbar, seem to do the trick where the other suggestions fail.

Default just one more thought

In my experiences with this program I have found that it runs better on an optimized system. i.e. runs better on fresh boots, and defenantly better on a defragmented system. I used to get the same errror, but after making sure that i closed the search windows, and didnt leave it on the transfer window, as well as keep my system defragmented, the problem is virtually gone. Hope you get it works for you. Maybe it will just go away like it did for me.

Happy Downlaoding.

Smile Thanks for the info!

I got this error just this morning, running Windows XP. I came to the site looking for a XP patch, then found users from W98 to W2K are having the same thing.

I will definitely try the iconify tip next time ... it's only happened twice in the 4 Gb of episodes i've downloaded over this weekend.

Thanks ... and Xolox team, keep up the phonemonal work! I don't care about GUI and fancy flash. Your setup for the multi-user downloads is finally getting Gnutella out of infancy!!!

Default Cpu Maxed at 100%

Same problem here, P2 333 Win 2000 Pro, 256pc133 ram, it seems to work alright for awhile then jumps cpu to 100% and becomes useless. I use tiny personal firewall and it seems to be looping data around my system through different ports out of xolox and back to c:\thru a different port. Then ctrl-alt-del to kill xolox and then restart! System runs fine all the time except for this, defragged often and Xolox ix always minimized in taskbar!!

Default This seems to have worked for me

Try this, it seems to work. In options turn off the following two items. First turn off the safe download. Second turn off the switch to max badwidth after (whatever) minutes of no user interaction. I turned those two off and problem seems to be solved. They will have to work on a fix in the next version with those two features in mind.
