Angry constant CPU hogging

I am running XoloX v1.12 on a Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop running Win2K SP2 with a 1.13GHz PIII and 512MB RAM. Whenever I select files for downloading, or when downloads complete, XoloX runs the CPU up to 100% for 10-20 seconds. I have many files on queue, so this is greatly annoying when downloads come in every few seconds or minutes. Does anyone know what's up and how to fix this? Reply appreciated. Thanks.

Default not really

network communication happens first to advertise.
your files will be uploaded almost straight away.
sometimes it feels like you have to prove yourself by
uploading a certain amount before your fit to download.

I find if you have no activity on your terminal your download
activity drops to minimal and your uploads maximize whether
you select the option or not. ( eg overnight!!! Upoad 3Gig
Downnload 300Meg)
It is also not the other point changing levels.
Activity at your terminal sees rate change to expected levels.
Also with completion you will find a lot of files will almost finish but
not quite.
Still with Xolox you eventually get what you want.

Question

have the same dilemma if its normal or only happening to you. my PC is P3 750Mhz 192mb ADSL. Loading up my pc takes ages and yes i disable most of my app for startup except those included for win98.
One option which could help is Antivirus progs. You should disable some options which you thinks are to demanding .
2nd option: device manager : able DMA for your hardware (drives)

PC is not what i think it should be capable of. Am always blaming it on my win98 ( could it be?)
thanks
