When first installing xolox a week or so ago it took a couple of installs to solve the shutdown problem but after reinstall I havent had any futher lockups on shutdown of my win98,450k63,750mem,10gig deskstar rig.
At first downloads screamed but now I can hardly get a file, download speeds were running in multiple files at a speed of 30-70bps....and as high as 200, now it rarely exceeds 5-10bps. It seems that is is almost non functioning at this point, I will try a fresh install. There also seems to be some degredation in overall internet performance via cable ISP. I have defraged, adjusted, check, speed tested and double checked everything but no discoveries so far but Im not giving up. Overall a really nice prog and easy to use, I miss some of the features that I got used to in the old days but I can live without them. Xolox is a bit of a resource hog though but it is manageable. |
