Only 1 Download at a time?

Hey guys. I'm satisfied with the Xolox's ease of use, and the huge successful search results. However, When I was trying to download like 10 files, all of them are "Searching for new host", or "Connecting", except one is downloading. Is this normal or you can download a couple of files at the same time?

Hi!

This is normal and you can download more than one file...

When Xolox have reach its max at downloads, it displays a queded message...

How many downloads for a file before it reaches MAX? cuz I there're no options to tweak the maximum downloads/uploads. All my requesting files have been queueing for a couple of hours and not downloading. I wondering when it will begin to download the files.

Max

What kind of internet connection do you use?

Set your upload speed in Xolox Preferences... if you do have a cable or ADSL connection set it to "max"! The preference dialog box explains: "A low maximum upload speed will limit your download speed and search capability".

Good luck, Moak

Yes, I set it to MAX, cuz I'm connected to college ethernet, which is very fast. I'm not saying the download speed is slow, I downloaded a file at 50 KB/s which is ok. The problem is all the downloads are queueing for a couple of hours, but not downloading. Thanks a lot for your input, guys.

I have a similar problem. It is most likely that you're downloading files with a low score (i.e., 1 or 2). Xolox works very well with high score files, but sometimes it takes a while to download files with a low score. I have to wait several days sometimes for rare files. If those 1 or 2 users don't stay on for very long or don't have a dedicated connection (cable or dsl), then you will have trouble getting those. I'd recommend you look for higher scores, or just wait a few days. It just takes time.

Yep, just do what 'guest" said. I let run my XoloX for days... especially at night time when you do not use your computer.
