Windows ME probs?? Running Windows ME on: Athlon 750 128 MB RAM 32MB RIVA TNT2 DSL I haven't been having the CPU usage problem, though not running memturbo (yet!). But do have hangup on quit problem, "Xolox caused an error in <unknown>." Also, strangely, get the same error if I try to run Windows Explorer (file tree not internet browser) while running Xolox. "Explorer caused error in <unknown>." Srtange... And possibly damaging, as the "Xolox will now close" is one of those infinitely repeating messages, meaning I have to to a hard shutdown. Any suggestions? Oh, and while I'm at it, does anybody know a utility to monmitor backgroud programs? On ctrl-alt-del I get a bewildering list of crap and I'd like to know wht it is. Later and thanks, jfaustus |

YEP me 2 I have the same problem, mostly after a nights download. WIN ME Celeron 700 notebook with 192mb memory and t3 network connection. Its not that bad of a glitch, I just restart the computer and its done. I have a bigger glich of getting my room mate from hell to close the damn oven door after he's done. Think it might be memory alocation problems? |
