Question Can't download anything

When I try to download anything it just sits there for ages. The download status will just look like this:

connecting, busy 1, buffer 236.

And the download never starts. Any ideas?

Are you using a firewall?
If so, which type?

Zone Alarm Pro can be configured to be Xolox compatible. Xolox uses TCP Port 6346 (as its default); make sure it’s free and clear.

I've tried it without any other starting programs running and I still have a problem (Win XP).

However, I can run it fine in Windows 2000

Some people with XP say Xolox won’t run, others with XP say they don’t have any trouble with Xolox. I only know of one instance, where someone who couldn’t get Xolox to run initially in XP, was able to correct this.
