todo hi moak, a friend of me is currently writing an online documentation. First i will finish my homepage then i will add the skinable design to peeranha. Hope to CU in #gnutelladev there i will discuss something more with you! cu - godXBlue |

just another idea: Perhaps some ppl like to see a buildin skinless version of PEERanha, with the look&feel of the current user's desktop. 'T' said today on IRC: "I like consitency on my screen - not a circus of skinned apps". Well, even if the users desktop looks dull and ugly, most users like to have a similar look&fell in every app! Hope it helps, Moak |

Moak needs sex & drugs more than pizza. Is there anyway to get rid of the awful green colour for completed downloads? It's a foul colour and very difficult to read as well. Dark red would work better and be somewhat easier on the eyes. Reduce font sizes a couple of points as well...I have to bang the res up to 1280 rather than 1024 in order to read all the file info. Other than that, I don't have any complaints which, for me, is unheard of. |

> Moak can you help me to write a 'MFC' interface if a person don't like one of the skins? Oh boy, I just write MFC b/c my Windows programs need a grafic user interface and it's fast... I not really like it or good in it. But for sure I help you where I know something!! Why don't use plain Win32 as you did and use normal Windows controls instead of your owner draw controls? You can design dialogs in the MSVC resource editor and load/use them with Win32 (no need for MFC if you don't want to use it). About resources, you could also include every string in the resource ("String Table"), this offers the possibility of loading the resources dynamic and when dialogs and all output is in it, there could be different resource-DLLs for different languages. I still want to learn from your pure-Win32-skinable techniques. I think this is much cooler than MFC dialogs... as a I told I use it b/c it's very fast to create GUIs and owner draw controls are the same no matter if using MFC or Win32 (handling WM_PAINT). Greets, Moak PS: Yes, I like sex and drugs and chocolate more than pizza. You got me. Last edited by Moak; February 26th, 2002 at 06:39 AM. |

your help :) Hi moak, we didn't meet us a long time in IRC . Well, I hope we will soon. Ok, I will use standard Win32 functions to display the PEERanha window but I don't know much about the controlmessages etc. So I will ask you a lot in the future . The resource table is an good idea. I already planned to implement a plug'n'play system for PEERanha (fileviewers, chats and so on). cu - godXBlue |

Re: your help :) Hi GodxBlue, I'm on IRC now! I'm preparing a pizza, but meanhwile I'm yours! The plugNplay system sound _very_ interesting. Btw, I'm curious to make a (simple) skin, do you plan about a overview sheet for skin design (I did mail to you about that)? Greets, Moak |

Reh :) Hi Moak, yes I planned an overview sheet but my time every day to work on PEERanha is hard limited, so i have the weekends only to change and add a lot to it. Well, maybe you can help me with this things (overview sheet for example) or tell me how a normal user would understand skindesigning better because I sit in front of PC-Screens since I was eight and forget sometimes what "normal" users want to know. cu - godXBlue |
