![]() When i delete emails in my pc, I get a notice that, say, 20 emails have been QUOTE deleted forever UNQUOTE. Why, then, do they pop up again on screen, together with several others that had been deleted earlier? Have they been deleted forever, or not? The mind boggles. Many thanks in advance for your help. ![]() Are you referring to GMail? -> G-mail deletions With most email services there will be a trash or deleted items folder you can check to see if the items have been sent there. Generally after 7 days they are auto-deleted from that Deleted items folder (many but not all email services do this.) If you are in the Deleted items folder you can instead re-select the emails and choose delete which will delete them forever. Or there will be a button that will delete all items in that folder immediately or two buttons: one to select 'all' and second to 'delete'. I'm wondering if you are becoming confused between the Inbox and Deleted items folders. |

![]() Sorry I am late in replying to thank you again for your help. I have been trying to use your solution to the problem of deleted emails which keep popping up after the pc has confirmed their deletion. However, the problem recurs: deleted emails reappear on my screen from several days after they have been deleted. Apparently i have to patiently keep deleting them over and over again. My best regards and renewed thanks, Joe |
