Which mobile phone brand do you use?
If an iPhone you could use Air-drop to an Apple computer. But less sure about Windows PC computer.
Otherwise similar to 6_pac's answer. Once you select the photo on your mobile phone, different options will show, some of which will allow you to send the photo to a different device such as via email or text (will still be a photo.)
