i can'T plAY MOVIES!!! What in HELL is going on!

I connect to Lime Wire. I merrily download a movie. I know I have Quicktime and a DVD player, so I try to launch the movie. What happens? NOT A DAMNED THING! HELP ME! This is driving me crazy.
