Exclamation For NORTON Anti-Virus and Internet Security Users - Manual Update

For Norton Users...

The 'Auto-Update' feature does not always install ALL of the updates for you.
Quite often it does not include updates and upgrades in regards to the software...
Also, the 'Auto-Update' does not always occur as frequently as new 'definitions' are made available...

To 'manually' update your definitions and program files, click

Here

These days it is highly advisable to check this site very regularly !

If you have any doubts as to which of the update files to select, choose the 'lower' and 'larger' one... Usually about 7MB or more.
Additionally, it is advisable to 'Open' the file on download instead of 'Save'.
(This is one of the very rare occasions when 'Open' is both preferable and safe.)

Yupp !
THAT is why I suggested taking the larger file (@ 7.5MB now) if the user has any doubts at all re: 'choice'.

Obviously, if you take a look at the 'upper' and more 'normal' file info, it ain't too hard for even the freshest out of the basket 'newbie' to see if the 'small' file covers all of the Symantec stuff that may be installed on their machine.

The 'Live Up-Date' service is quite good, but only for the critical stuff... The 'goodies' such as upgrades to the program itself are best D/Led with the so-called 'Intelligent - Updater'...
(I call it 'manual'... )
