Dear you... ;)

Now, now... You have already posted on this...
Believe me, you will have far greater success if you stick with following on with your original post...

Anyway, I gave you a link for the Musicmatch Jukebox Help or User Guide, right ?
Wellllllllll, if you go down to the bottom of the first page of the Burning Help, you will find links to OTHER subjects... Amazing, hmmm ?

One of those is cleverly named, 'Manage'

What you need to do is to first learn how... HOW to manage and manipulate Folders and Files on your computer... Meaning 'Moving' and 'Copying' and such arcane functions, OK ?

Now, here is another meaty, beefy, bouncy and actually quite chunky bit of hand-holding for you...
;)

http://www.musicmatch.com/info/user_...nage_music.htm

There you will find tips and guidance from MMJ on how to 'find' your music files and create playlists and loads more...

C U later !!!

p.s. Please, pretty please, come back here or to your original post for the next exciting installments, OK ?

BeautifulParadiz March 28th, 2004 06:08 AM

it will?

it will actually help me on THIS subject tho?

ursula March 28th, 2004 06:13 AM

Go on... Be Brave !
Take a fling !!!!!!

What ya got to lose ???

BeautifulParadiz March 28th, 2004 06:16 AM

uh..

well after i clik 'manage' at the bottom of the page what do i do from there? :(

ursula March 28th, 2004 06:22 AM

btw, at the most basic, all you really want to do is to 'create' a Folder that contains the music files you would like to have for listening... You could call it your 'Music Bank' folder, or whatever...
If you have the Hard Disk Drive space available, try doing that and leave your 'Shared' files and 'Downloads Folder' alone... Just empty the Downloads when you want and to where you want...

In that same 'Music Bank' folder you would, hopefully, be doing things to some (perhaps many) of the music files... Doing what to them ?
'Tagging' them properly for a start... A task which MMJ does without equal !

MMJ has a very easy to use system for finding and adding files to your MMJ Library... Most of it is automatic... Maybe even 'too automatic'...

Main thing is to just relax and learn about it all...
You have already made the right choice by starting off with Musicmatch Jukebox... It's a great program and one of the very few out there that is truly worth buying...

There ARE a lot of little things to learn about MMJ in order to get the maximum out of it, but the basic 'early days' stuff is really quite simple...

Hang in there, kiddo !!!!!!!!

ursula March 28th, 2004 06:24 AM

N0o, no...

Just click on the link I gave you in the posts above...

You can go through the old link, of course...
When you get to the 'Manage' Help section, you'll see various headings for stuff you need to learn about...

You'll see !

BeautifulParadiz March 28th, 2004 06:25 AM

ok...

but here is one thing! this is a new computer and i didnt BUY MMJ it came on my computer. And i dont wanna hafta pay for it so that is why i am downloading stuff from Limewire ....o and the post from u above..: can u use english pleaseeeeeee?? i am not good with this stuff , i do HTML ...hehe but anyway, yah, can u write that in a 'easy to understand' language?

BeautifulParadiz March 28th, 2004 06:29 AM

is Kazaa easier than this? cuz i know there is a way to get music files from Kazaa onto MMJ ...i'm not sure about limewirw tho.

BeautifulParadiz March 28th, 2004 06:39 AM

uh...

ursula???? ya there? i really need some help but i am not sure if i should choose Kazaa instead of Limewire!?!?! so yah

ursula March 28th, 2004 06:40 AM

Hide The Manual Lady

I am sorry to be the one to tell you this, but you are going to have to bite the old bullet and actually learn just the basics about using your computer.
The 'basics' meaning how to manage and manipulate your Folders and Files.

No choice on this.

Kath, tell her !!!!!!!
It ain't only my crazy opinion !!!

BeautifulParadiz March 28th, 2004 06:43 AM

?

yah but i dont know how is what i am trying to tell you......and i thought you were gonna help me? your a moderator. but o well

ursula March 28th, 2004 06:43 AM

btw....
Kazaa is a really great source of viruses...
Also, an excellent place to get corrupted files...
It is also a server based system so it is a whole lot easier to bust people who are using it...

Noooooo, Kazaa is NOT the answer to your problems, dear !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lesson 1 -

manage your music collection

How To
Add tracks to My Library
Sort and View My Library

Add tracks to My Library

There are several ways to add music to My Library, including:
Click the 'Add to Library' button above the Music Library window.
Browse your computer to the folder where audio files are stored. Check the box 'Also Add Tracks from Subfolders' to add all tracks in the current folder, and all subfolders.
Click the 'Select All' button to select all the files in the current, and all subfolders
Click 'Add.'
Files will be added to My Library.

Sort and View My Library

My Library is a powerful organization tool designed to organize music, create playlists and find the music you want, at a glance. View your music collection by a number of categories including genre, album, song name, artist, even the date files were added to the library.

If you want some great R&B for a party, you can click on the genre heading. If you want to see all the Barry White music in your collection, sort by artist. It's easy to manage your music in a way that works best for you.

Sorting your music

Click on any 'My Library' heading. The current heading will be sorted alpha-numerically.
Right-clicking on any library heading allows you to choose different view/sorting options.
Click 'View Library By' and choose a new way to browse for tracks

yah but this is the problem i am having! once i save my stuff from limewire and clik add to library on MMJ i cant find the music i have downloaded from Limewire!

ursula March 28th, 2004 07:47 AM

Unless you are 'moving' the files from your LimeWire Shared Folder to whatever folder you may be using for holding your music files, I cannot understand why you would 'lose' your Shared files in LimeWire...

Anyway, try this...

In LimeWire -

Use the Library Pane-> File Menu and choose "Add Folder to Share"
